It’s no secret that Amazon offers a 30-day price refund if you make a purchase from them. The programs works easily enough: you find a lower price on an item within 30 days of your purchase and Amazon refunds the difference. The trouble has been actually finding those prices to watch for.
Now you don’t have to.

You just submit your Amazon purchase to Refund Please and they’ll email you if the price drops within 30 days of your purchase. One cool item on their site is located at the top of the page. You can see the total amount of refunds that Refund Please has been able to get for people, along with the largest single refund to date. Somebody got really lucky and got a credit of over $3,000! I’m just wondering what they bought to get that massive amount of shekels back…
If you’re like me and you did some last minute online Christmas shopping, Refund Please might help you pay for some of those credit card bills that will be coming in over the next month or so

1RefundPlease.com is a great idea. Unfortunately, it does no good if Amazon doesn’t honor its 30 day guarantee — which is what they did to me a couple of weeks ago when I found the item that I had bought $30 cheaper. When I wrote to them, their reply can be summarized as, “too bad but be sure to shop with us again”.

2Thank stinks. I hate it when companies will not stand by their commitments. I have worked in retail for a number of years and always try to do everything I can to keep the customer happy. Regardless of what the suits say. Many times the system is rigged against the consumer. Which stinks. Sorry about your experience.

3Well, it worked for me. I am using Apnoti, they have a little how-to in their FAQ (link in the middle of the page) which describes how you get the money back. I followed the description and got the refund without any problems.
While I am at it: As opposed to RefundPlease (does not accept most Amazon articles and for the few others I never got price alerts) Apnoti works quite well. I found Apnoti in the BusinessWeek feature about the best web freebies.
