Starbucks will expect to sell digital songs and videos within a year. With his recent speech at New York’s Levin Institute, CEO Howard Schultz expects customers to be able to “walk into a Starbucks and digitally be able to fill up your MP3 player with music”. Their October 2006 agreement with Apple have increased speculation that the download platform for their instore downloads will probably be Apple iTunes.

Starglas

Ever want to watch TV out in your yard? Steward Filmscreen’s Starglas offers a solution that will turn some heads and increase your popularity indeed.

The Starglas Rear Projection TV is based on a screen lamination layer between two pieces of glass, which means it’s basically a window that has a television in the middle.

The screen includes some very nice features that may go unnoticed however, such as the anti-reflective coating which helps improve visibility of the picture outdoors, and the fact that you can clean it like a normal glass window. The Starglas Rear Project Television also fits most outdoor safety specifications (withstanding sun and water) so you are able to install it pretty much anywhere.

Retailed at $4,395.00, it is not bad a price for a 100″ screen inch TV.

Touchscreen "Square Cd" player

With the rumored extinction of Compact Discs through the competition posed by MP3 players and other media sources, it’s no wonder why CD player manufacturers are starting to find new ways to make CDs and CD players more unique. YankoDesign has discovered one way to stir up consumers interest with the Square CD.

Designed in Italy, the Square CD is a touchscreen controlled CD player that is made to incorporate into the design of your house, acting as part of the decor. It blends in with your house design with its unique Corian surface (normally suited to kitchen counter tops), giving it a nice simplistic touch. When turned on, you are welcomed with a beautiful glowing screened play, stop and eject buttons.

The Square CD is not released as yet, but is rumored to cost well over $1,000 mark.
