This Blind Reader lets the blind read regular printed text as well. It scans any printed text like a regular scanner and then translates it to Braille on a special screen for the blind to touch.
A concept by a Chinese company named Togo, the Braille screen works with electromagnetic or piezoelectric principles. The blind can finally read a book, magazine or in a library without special provisions. It supposedly works on LCD screens too, which allows them to read websites and the blogosphere! This is great stuff, and I am surprised it wasn’t done earlier.
